Woah. Those are pretty awesome.

I especially like how Planeshift is looking.

what we need, is a few big-name games companies to shift their PC game focus to OpenGL

(hell, they already have to use OpenGL for the Playstation and Wii, so there's minimal costs involved in transition)

The stumbling of Windows is starting to be noticeable in software company's platform focus
and DirectX games are seriously risky at the moment

OpenGL 3 is just round the corner
once that hits, DirectX will pretty much be a dead end

DX10 is Vista only
no-one wants Vista
Vista's successor won't arrive until 2010
OpenGL, on the other hand, has no restrictions (so XP users will be happy)

so, what we need, is a few big-name games companies to shift their PC game focus to OpenGL

Uh I was thinking more along the lines of 2 player freeware games, and I already have a handful of emulators and roms.

oh, and grod, what rom files do you recommend for 2 player?

I'm hopelessly addicted to Nexuiz, at the moment

it's a death-match only FPS (LAN and/or internet)

Anything you like, really.

Having controllers though is a must. Two player emulation on 1 keyboard = not fun.

I agree, I was looking for games for the gensis, any games you'd recomend for 2 players, I have games like Contra hard corps and Streets of rage 1-3?

I'm not too sure about games for the Genesis, but for two players games like Street Fighter 2 and it's (many) expansions are always fun.
