So my mom is taking a travel job that's gonna relocate her for 13 weeks at a time to: South Carolina, Florida, Oregon, and I think possibly Hawaii... we live in Buffalo, NY so she won't be able to come back on weekends to visit.

My sisters are 8 and 12 and I came up with the idea to get both my mom and our house a webcam so they can videochat while she's gone for months at a time. It's gonna be a birthday surprise, my mother's birthday is the 27th... so... what's the best one(within a reasonable price range as I'm buying them on a college-student-who's-not-working budget) and is there a service I'll need to sign them up for or will AIM/Yahoo work?

The camera quality doesn't have to be awesome, just so it works and it's not like 15fpm. A mike attached would be nice, or a separate one is OK too.


EDIT: Let me rephrase this question... I know where to get one... however...

Anybody that has a webcam, what is it, how much did it cost and how do you feel about it(i.e. would you recommend I buy it)?
