Thread: Getting a cracked cell phone front screen fixed

Well I just cracked the front screen of my Samsung u740 cell phone. The screen itself still works fine except for a small spot where the pressure was centered (I walked into the corner of my pingpong table when it was in my pocket)

It is Verizon.

My question is can I get it fixed and would I just take it to the local Verizon store? It seems to just be plastic and it is elevated above the body slightly so it could just be like a sticker. Also I've only had it about 6 months and got it at Best Buy. Any help is appreciated.

No one has ever cracked their cell phone's front screen? If you have did you get it replaced, get a new phone, or just live with it like that?

Sorry, but klutzes and poorly made self phones are a dying combination it seems.

Somehow my screen kinda fixed itself. It cracked almost in the shaped of a Y and one of the pieces was pushed down below the others but now it has popped back up into place on its on and now it is much less noticable. And since it's completely level it doesn't distort the image from the screen like it was.

BTW I think the whole thing was karma anyway. I got mad when playing pingpong and accidentally took a chunk out of the table (chead perfboard kind) so I think the table was getting me back.
