      simple problem that most of you probably know.

      well i dont know how to put the search bar and all that crap back to were it is. even the green start button is gone at the bottom. i was mad one night and slammed my fist on the keyboard hitting buttons near the bottom middle and it made my search bar and close button (the X at the top) all disappear.

      my question is how do you reverse it? im sure its a easy combination of buttons. if i didnt explain my problem well just say so, and as you can tell im not a computer person.

      Is it hiding at the bottom? If you put the mouse at the bottom of the screen does it show up then?

      If it does then right click on it and go into the properties. Uncheck "Automatically hide task bar"

      Oh, it's at the top?

      You can drag and drop it wherever you want, just pull it back to the bottom. If it doesn't move then right click and uncheck "lock the taskbar"

      Take a screenshot?

      -Hit PrtScr (or something similar) on your keyboard (its usually after the F12 button)
      -Go into MS Pain
      -Go to Edit -> Paste
      -Save the picture
      -Upload it to Imageshack and show us here.

      Wait a minute, are you talking about Windows or your internet browser? You said green button so I assumed that you mean "Start", but those sound like IE / FF options.

      Try pressing 'ctrl', then clicking on the start menu bar and dragging it back to the bottom.

      For your browser, F11 should bring back the "x" and stuff.
