      Windows Media Player Help

      When i want to rip music from a cd, You can press "update album info" This then goes online an find the details, then you see if they are right and then press finish. On my oter pc (win 98) you can also do this and it works find so take 20 seconds to find the song names and imput them.

      however on WM player 11 on VISTA it works up the point of updating the names where it closes, ut doesn't do anything. This means i have to imput the my self which take bloody ages!

      As anyone else had any problem on WM player 11 on Windows Media Player on VISTA

      Please Help i'm getting desperate.

      If you can't get it working,
      you can use CDex
      http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/

      It'll rip CD's (including searching for artist / album / track names & artwork)
      plus, it'll be in mp3 (by default, other formats available) so will play nice with mp3 players (from memory, WMP rips to WMA only)

      Apple fixed iTunes for Vista. It'll do all that stuff for you too and rip to whatever format that you want.

      yea, great i dears guys, but has anyone had any experience in WMS and did they solve the problem.

      I haven't had any problems ripping CDs with WMP11. But then again I use XP.

      You shouldn't need to edit the song names if you're ripping the albulm, it does it for you, no?
