      Way to monitor bandwidth usage on a switched network?

      I'm looking for a program that I can put on a laptop, jack the laptop into a switch, and monitor the amount of traffic going in and out. I'm having issues finding something that will work for a switched network though. Any suggestions?

      Commview should do the job; you can grab a 30 day trial from http://www.tamos.com/download/main/.

      Though if you want to get the full program it might be a bit expensive, depending on your needs.
