Does my computer have a CD/DVD Burner?

I seriously don't know. I know it was supposed to have come with one, but I really don't think there is one. How do I figure out if I do in fact have a burner? God I need to take some computer classes. I feel like a douchebag when I ask these stupid questions.

What does the front of the DVD drive say? There's usually logos and shit that say if it can write or rewrite.

If it's newer than 5 years old then yes. The drive itself with have the letters DVD-RW on it if it does.

You should be able to drag and drop files onto a CD without any additional software. Windows Explorer in XP can put them on the disc like anything else.

Oh cool I thought I needed a 3rd party software. Even ISOs?

Oh... no, you need special software for that. Windows doesn't have the capability to mount disks on the fly, nor write to a disc that isn't formatted. I think there is a program called ISOwriter that can do that for you. You won't be able to mount the ISO, but you can put it on the disc and then mount the disc.

I think InfraRecorder does ISOs, and it's pretty good. PowerISO mounts ISOs, not sure if it will burn them to a disc or not. Alcohol 120% should do the trick too.
