Does my computer have a CD/DVD Burner?

      I seriously don't know.

I know it was supposed to have come with one, but I really don't think there is one.

How do I figure out if I do in fact have a burner?

God I need to take some computer classes. I feel like a douchebag when I ask these stupid questions.

What does the front of the DVD drive say? There's usually logos and shit that say if it can write or rewrite.

If it's newer than 5 years old then yes.

The drive itself with have the letters DVD-RW on it if it does.

You should be able to drag and drop files onto a CD without any additional software. Windows Explorer in XP can put them on the disc like anything else.

Oh... no, you need special software for that. Windows doesn't have the capability to mount disks on the fly, nor write to a disc that isn't formatted. I think there is a program called ISOwriter that can do that for you. You won't be able to mount the ISO, but you can put it on the disc and then mount the disc.

I think InfraRecorder does ISOs, and it's pretty good. PowerISO mounts ISOs, not sure if it will burn them to a disc or not. Alcohol 120% should do the trick too.
