      Firefox

      Hey,
I just started Firefox and im still getting a feel for it. I got some questions.
Why is it when I click on the Dreamviews Bookmark it tries to open it in this tiny window? i also have Yahoo and Youtube on my bookmarks and it opens them up normal.
Also, anybody know any particularly good addons to use?
      Thanks.

      Grod, you're not funny.
      Remake your bookmark?

I enjoy FireGestures a lot, and also FasterFox.

I'm glad you took the holy FireFox instead of IE.

Might I recommend Safari if you're on Mac or Chrome if you're on Windows? Both are much faster than Firefox. Chrome is the fastest by far though.

i like no script, but plenty of people find it more annoying than useful.
      smoothwheel is also pretty nice.

Chrome is an annoying browser with very, very loosy privacy policy.

I tried Chrome at a friends house. I didn't care for it much.

It's probably opening it in the sidebar? If so just uncheck "Open in Sidebar" in the bokmark properties.

I like AdBlock Plus, Greasemonkey, StumbleUpon, Web Developer Toolbar, Firebug, ScribeFire, FireFTP, ChatZilla, FireShot, IETab, and of course Tab Mix Plus. Just for starters.

Adblock Plus is ok, IEtab and web developer if you're a web developer, but the rest is overkill if you don't chat a lot or do SU and stuff like that

Tab Mix Plus is pretty much a necessity for me. StumbleUpon is my boredom killer and inspiration source, All-in-One Sidebar really helps consolidate things, ColorZilla is great for IDing that elusive color on a web page, Forecastfox is pretty nice for quick weather, It's All Text is great for typing up long posts in outside editors, ScribeFire is for blogging without having to to load the blog, and that's about it.

Adblock Plus and Flashblock are my favorite extensions. Flashblock doesn't remove flash material, but doesn't play it until you click on it. It's only annoying if you have a youtube playlist going, but you can add sites as exceptions so it all works out.

I also have Dictionary Search. Pretty self-explanatory.

BugMeNot.com was created as a mechanism to quickly bypass the login of web sites that require compulsory registration and/or the collection of personal/demographic information (such as the New York Times).

      Background

You're browsing the web and you click a link to an article on a site (let's say nytimes.com) but instead of getting the article you get a screen asking you to login or register. Infuriated at the idea of pointlessly registering for yet another site you turn to your good buddy bugmenot.com
