Thread: Ipod touch-Youtube question

I cannot go on youtube anymore without "additional charges" it says.

I don't understand is this only an iphone thing or can my ipod touch still use youtube without them.

Am I free to go? I mean I don't see how this applies to me but I am still confused.

Go to Settings, General then scroll down until you see what version you have.
I have 2.2 and I don't have the problem you speak of.
Also, which iPod Touch do you have- 1st or 2nd generation? (does it have sound without headphones?)
I have the first generation.

I haven't synced my iPod in weeks. I don't use YouTube often, but I like it being there and being free. If it changed during an update, I'm not sure I want to sync it any time soon...

Hmm I have 1.1.4 first generation... or at least I think. Yup I can get sound without headphones if I choose too. I don't think it changed because this has been happening about a month after I got it. (Two christmas' ago)

Should be free. What kind of contract do you have, if it's unlimited then it will be free, if not, then you might end up paying because Youtube videos are fairly large files.

I didn't know they could charge me on an Itouch


I didn't even know about a contract. I just made an apple account and then got some songs.

I have also been noticing everything thinks I am on an Iphone too.

They say it's heavy on the data connection, you might exceed your data limit, which costs money.

You can take the risk, but it's still a risk
