Probably corrupt data. You should have went with a better cart though, AceKard 2 and CycloDS Evolution are a lot better.

Better firmware, auto-DILDI patching(AceKard only) for better game compatibility, more support for games that need cracked, such as GTA, and they're just more reliable.

The AceKard is amazing. I bought one for my DS Lite the other week and it works perfectly. Nice and cheap too.

On topic: I would say the firmware you've put on the card is corrupt. Try downloading a new copy from the website.

well the funny thing is, my friend and i traded our EZflash carts and mine works fine on his DS and his works fine on mine. Strange.

Thinking about getting this http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.18728 so I can continue to use it when I eventually get a DSi. A friend of mine has a DSi so I can test that out on his to see if it works.

That's what I have and it works on my friend's DSi. No idea why he got the DSi though. Waste of money. I like my GBA functionality and I have a non-shit camera to take photos with. :p

well with the Acekard you can easily download the GBA roms and play them without bothering with having the old cartridges.

My R4 Revolution works great. I think DP is right though. It's probably just corrupt data or something. You should retrace your steps and figure out what you may have put on there that fucked it up.

Works on DSlite/Dsi and be updated to get by any patches that Nintendo puts out to kill the flashcarts.

I haven't actually tried it but I did a quick google search and the consensus seems to be that you need a slot 2 flashcart to play GBA roms.
I have a feeling you can bypass this if you flash your DS's firmware with a custom cracked one though which you can do with the Acekard.

Do you have an Acekard? If you do then fuck the general consensus and try it yourself

No, you can't. The DS has 2 modes, GBA mode and DS mode. The DS mode can not currently run any GBA games, and flash carts can't bypass that. There is also GBA mode, which accounts for the other core in the DS systems, and is still present in the DSi, the DSi was just too thin to put a GBA cart in.

All you have to do is download a gameboy emulator for the DS.

I've tried one of those before, it didn't work well at all. Does it run them at full speed?

Yup. Granted I only play one game with it, but it plays at normal speed, plus it has an option to play it at a faster speed so I actually play it at twice the normal speed most of the time.
