The motherboard is only effectively compatible with tri-channel DDR3, DDR2 RAM is useless on this board. Changing the RAM means changing the Motherboard, and vice versa.

Now that the standard is officially Blu Ray, it's only a matter of time before it is fully utilized. Might as well invest in the drive now as I'm going to need to later anyway.
