After looking at my 3.5 year old iPod Video, I saw that it sadly was starting to look rather old. Not only that, but it doesn't sync anymore unless I format it first, and the screen is scratched beyond repair. I like calling it war-torn.

So I started thinking... What if I made it look REALLY war-torn, and in the process, very unique? Replace the entire outside metal/glass part with something I built myself? Like a brushed dark metal (steel perhaps) outside, with obviously a piece of glass in the middle for the iPod screen and a hole so I can still use the click wheel (which I'd colour differently). I'd love to screw the back and front together, for aesthetic purposes. Make it look really war-torn, add some rust paint to it, bruise it, etc.

But then, I realized I have no clue. And I can't find anything good on google except to take it apart.

So I wonder if anyone has any experience with this? Or knows a site, etc? I'm especially concerned with cutting the metal, or what kind to use. Not sure if my dad has the equipment I could use to do this.

Any help is appreciated!
