      Exclamation Computer won't start properly

I uninstalled I tunes, then it asked me to restart. So I pressed restart.
But when it restarted, it came up with a black screen just after the bit where is shows a progress bar and says Microsoft or something.

So I turned it off with the power button, and back on again, and it did the same thing. I reyes a couple of times.

So now I'm re installing windows vista. But now there is another problem. It is stuck on the "expanding files" bit at 0%

      am I screwed now?

EDIT: never mind, the installation is working.

But i still want know if this will work. Also why this happened in the first place

EDIT 2: ok my computer is working again, the installation worked.
but i really want to know why that happened. was it itunes fault? my fault? windows fault?

Vista probably conflicted with iTunes the uninstallation.
From what i see, Vista thought that the restart was due to some serious error/virus/something from the same opera and instantly switched you to safe mode, which loads nothing except the files needed to run the OS.
Or you got switched to DOS, but i doubt since DOS do not belong to MS.

it didnt go to safe mode or anything, it asked my if i wanted to go to safe mode or normal. i tryed all the different ones, and it just came up with black. and i dont think DOS had anything to do with it.
