Did you make sure to connect the video card to the power supply? Do you have a big enough power supply for the card? The specs for that card state that it needs a 450-Watt power supply or greater, 30 Amps on 12 volt rail recommended (assumes fully loaded system). |

It's only a 3-4 year old comp. It should be fine. I think I'm missing a 6 slot PCIe plug? |

I bought a 8800GTS and it didn't come with all the parts (ebay, but it was brand new and it works great still). It was only missing one part (which I got from a friend for free) but without the part, it would make that loud beeping noise. |

Yea, you need that from your powersupply. Most modern power-supplies come with these. |

Update: Ok, so I got the video card properly installed with proper drivers and proper power supply (it was done by a computer place, they said everything was working fine) I went to use the comp and realized I needed a DVI to VGA adapter, so I bought one. |
