So, I will get some newfangled smart phone sometime within the next month or so. The question is, which one? I'm staying away from the iPhone for a number of reasons. First of all, it lacks a real keyboard, and I've tried typing on that stupid thing, and it's just not that much fun. But also, I've got a psychological barrier keeping me from it. I dunno, something about combining the douchebaggery of apple with the evilness of AT&T just doesn't sit right with me.

I went into a verizon store and played around with the new droid phone. It was ok, but kind of hard to get used to, mainly from having zero experience with phones that are a lot more than... phones. Seemed I had to hit the touchscreen higher than I would intuitively think, and it was not super intuitive. But I don't know how much of it is just needing to get used to it.

The N900, on the other hand, isn't out yet, but I am looking forward to playing around with it. I don't know if it has a rich set of apps like iphone or google, but then again, it can probably handle virtually any open source application it can render on screen.

So, would anyone be able to elucidate me on which of those phones they prefer and why? And maybe on which phone is better for what kind of person? I mean, it seems they all have anything anyone would want, and so it probably comes down to the quality of the hardware and user interface, the coverage (droid probably wins on that, since Nokia's 3G coverage is the T-mobile one, which is behind even AT&T, from what I hear) and price....

Thanks!
