Blue Screen of Death for the Second Time

Should I be concerned? Second time this has happened within a week. First time happened right after I unplugged the new rudder pedals for my flightgear simulator (which also tend to input long strings of binary into text editors). Second time happened for no apparent reason. If this happens a third time, what should I do? It's a brand new computer that has worked very well until last week.

I'm using Vista 64-bit. Forced shutdown, memory dump, blue error screen, all that happiness. Could it be a virus?

I've had the same problem with my Dell Inspiron Mini V10.

It seems to only happen when I'm running too many programs. Especially big ones. I got the blue screen the first night.

After number 2, I went to go trade it in but my warranty expired.

I don't think it's a virus (atleast what with my case). I'm just going to be more conscious of the programs I run on it.

My guess would be that you have a 32-bit driver on your 64-bit operating system. Run a system-wide driver check.

Okay, cool. How do I do that? And if this is indeed the problem, how do I fix it?

Actually, that sounds about right...wouldn't be surprised.

Uh, I'm not sure, I don't use Windows. Fiddle around the the control panel, there should be a way to run a complete system diagnostic, which should show incorrect drivers.

Okay, looks like I can view all the drivers, but as I'm a techno noob, I'm just going to download a free scanner. Thanks!
