Virus?
I don't know what's wrong with my computer. I can't insert any of the smilies by clicking them. I have to type them in. I also can't click any of the things like bold, italics, insert picture, change font size or color, etc. Is this just because some setting is messed up on my computer, or could it be a virus?

Very few websites support IE6. Upgrade to IE 8, it's free and you can find a download by googling it.

Okay, besides upgrading, does anyone have a possible solution? Not that I don't appreciate you guys' help, but I just want to know if this is a virus or something else.

You could install another browser and use that one, like Opera or Firefox. Then it wouldn't interfere with your parent's browsing experience. Just make sure you don't make it the default browser, they might object to that. Originally Posted by redisreddish
