Not until it multitasks. I really want an ebook reader, but it's not worth it to me if I can't multitask.

I have the kindle. I have an ipod touch. i have a cell phone.
why would i want them mixed together? normally i carry (ipod/phone)

The pocket exception! Only technology that fits in your pocket tries to put a lot of things in one unit. Just look at the swizz army knife! The iPhone is a modern digital swizz army knife. It's so useful in your pocket, look at all that stuff in there. But if I got you one for the kitchen, you'd think that was the stupidest thing ever because it doesn't fit in your pocket.

And that's why everyone hates the iPad! It's a giant digital swizz army knife!

Yah I'm with you on this one. This is the only tiny thing that sometimes bugs me about my iphone. I'm sure the next versions will be much better, so I'm just going to wait.

Well, actually, that wouldn't even mix them together, because the iPad doesn't even have cell phone support.

I'm going to wait and see what OS 4.0 has in store.

I might consider purchasing one in the future, once they refine the product and add a few more bells and whistles. As of now, my iPod 3G does the job fine.

The iPad will multitask in the fall I'll buy one then.
