You make it seem hard, but for me atleast, it is very easy to wake myself up. I have never tried it, but most people say getting excited wakes them up. Try to close your eyes and open them a lot. Will yourself to wake up. |

Hi everyone, |

You make it seem hard, but for me atleast, it is very easy to wake myself up. I have never tried it, but most people say getting excited wakes them up. Try to close your eyes and open them a lot. Will yourself to wake up. |

I learned a technique from a series of videos on OBEs and LDs. The way I typically wake up from a WILD is breathing very fast and and focusing on the breathing. This will make you breath differently in real life, causing you to wake up. I've never had a FA using this technique- which I consider a good thing. |

ok so i don't know if this will work, because i wasn't actually lucid when i did it, but i had this dream once where i had just been tagged with a sticky bomb, and just as it hit me i was like "crap this is gunna hurt like hell, wake up!!" and just forced myself to wake up. although i was going in and out of sleep trying to wake up before this bomb blew my body to pieces, i still woke up. so you could just try simply waking up |

Total LD's = 6 and counting! lolDILD: 5
WILD: 1
Try to think of your (real) body, and just concentrate on opening your eyes or trying to move. Something I did once was closing my eyes really hard in the dream, focusing and telling myself that when I open my eyes again, I will be awake. Worked for me. |

Thanks for all the helpful responses. Another question would be, how do you remember to wake yourself up after you're in a dream? I always try before I go to bed but end up waking up super late if I do a WILD coupled with a WBTB. Too much sleep (at least for me) erases a lot of the dream. |

well this may seem a bit strange but i got a little freaked in my dream once, lucid dream that is and started shaking my head, within 2 seconds i was awake. or did i false awake? hm. |
