Thread: Odd, terrifying phenomenon

I apologize as this is probably simply SP, but I have never experienced it before, even in a successful WILD.

I was trying to get to sleep the other day when I was VERY tired (unusually) and I found myself unable to move, which I didn't mind, but it also gradually became harder to breathe. I tried to pull myself out of that position but I eventually moved my arm and escaped.

This continued to happen as I tried to fall asleep, and it became harder to remove myself from this state. I really wouldn't have minded but it became rather terrifying and extremely difficult to breathe. I eventually just fell asleep.

It's only happened two nights in my life and I can't think of anything that brought it on. Help?

Yeah, thats definetely sleep paralysis. I've had that happen to me by accident too, when I was very tired laying on my bed. It freaked me out too, because I had never heard of such a thing before.

Oh wow. it's funny that I've WILDed successfully without going through that. Pff I feel badly for telling people just to wait it out now, cause it sucked. Ah well, next time I'll be sure to hang on (as I eventually did).
