WILDing times

On every guide for WILDing, it tells you to do a WBTB, in the afternoon, or after waking up. What if you attempt to WILD at a random time. How long would it take you to enter a dream? Will you even be able to go into a dream without stopping or falling asleep?

I'm sure it would be possible, but it sounds really hard to accomplish if you ask me. Here's a free bump at the least. I am very interested in this topic. Being able to WILD at any time sounds great! Hopefully we'll get someone more experienced to share their opinions here.
