What to do after the floating

      Hello everyone,

This is my first post here.
I wish it was a constructive one, like sharing information or giving useful advice.
      Instead I need some advice.

I’ve been into the LD thing now for a month or two.

My first experience was immediately after I started with it. It was also the most heavy one.
I was taking a nap in the afternoon with the intention of falling asleep and dream. I was focusing on a memory. Played it over and over again in my mind. The moment I noticed my thoughts were going some place else I pulled them back going to that memory again.
Suddenly I felt my body was pulled upright and I was standing before something dark. It was really impending. I heard a strange mechanical repeating noise.
I did a reality check (I always push my finger in the palm of my hand). It went right through it. After that everything went really strange and very frightening and I freaked out and woke up.
Afterwards I was reading about WILD ( I did not now of until then) and I thought that maybe I was very close.

In these two months I realised I was dreaming twice (because of the strangeness) and became lucid for one second.
The moment a realised I was dreaming and did a RC. I felt a shift of consciousness, a real shock. After that the dream disappeared and I felt my body floating away, like I was on a rollercoaster but with no vision and ended back in bed and woke up

      This happened to me twice.

Often when I try WILD (My only problem here is the swallowing thing but I try to ignore it)
I get easily to the point where my body goes numb. I can lay very still!
After that I get this tingle and get the feeling of being sucked out of the body and floating away, I hear sounds but mostly with no images. I’m used to this floating and its very pleasurable. I stay calm but after a few seconds the experience is fading and I end up back in bed. I lay there with closed eyes but nothing is happening and after a while a open my eyes and I’m awake.

My experiences always seem to end up this way.
      How can I change this?

With apologies for the bad English!

That used to happen with me a lot, my body floats and so on.. , and then I can't keep up with that and wake up .
I've asked many times here in the forums about what to do and many members said that I must calm down, but it was useless, just because I get over exited or scared maybe .
Now I'd overcame this problem because I'd already used to this through Lucid Dreaming using MILD . Its just a matter of time and you'll get used to all the feelings .
      Good Luck

It sounds like from what I've read, is you need to try to seperate. If you're levitating just try standing up, or throwing your head to your feet (in your mind, not your body).

The book I've been reading is called "School of Out-of-Body Travel: A Practical Guidebook". Pretty informative and free. It's mentioned somewhere else on this forum.
www obe4u com and there's a link to download it.

      Thanks for the link.
I’ve read the book. Sounds very interesting. It’s a kind of DEILD isn’t it?
A have a timer that has a minimal set for one second. I connected it with a little night lamp.
A few days ago a woke up because of it and I didn’t move at all (I can do this fairly easily).
I thought” This is it! Now try to get back in the dream.” But my girlfriend had woken up to and she turned and touched my body.
Now comes the interesting part: Because of her moving and touching my body, my leg moved. It made an upward swing of 90°!!!
I was angry because she ruined my attempt
Afterwards I realised that it was impossible that my leg went that high. I actually succeeded DEILD but wasn’t aware of it.
