I'm a little stuck on some vision/eye stuff. I don't think it's related to any problems like narcolepsy or anything, as I didn't have terrible sleep when this second subject started happening...
So... First is this, sometimes, though I can't really predict when and if it will happen, while my eyelids are closed, I get a flash that of what I am sure is white cover my vision for a time that seems so fast I barely consciously perceive it. Sometimes I find myself pondering if it even really happened, but that questioning makes me certain it happens because I still acknowledged it. Is there something that defines this fast flash? I don't often consider it like how I hear people say lights occur during SP because I thought they say it like it happens in large amounts, but these white flashes I have are once and maybe at the speed of a milliseconds counter on a DVD player... I dunno if maybe it has anything to do with an opposite thing that would happen to me as a very young child, where I would black out visually for about the same amount of time as the flashes now.
A second question, happens when I close my eyelids and happens more often. I dunno what it really is, but my eyes almost act like they try to imitate REM incorrectly. The moment the lids are down, I start feeling like their moving for a moment, then either they calm down or I manage to ignore them and try to focus on mental imagery until I lose focus of them. I don't even think their really moving though, like if it's imagined. If I open the eyelids, the eyes stop moving but my eyelids flicker up and down for a very short moment. Yet if I lightly touch where the eye is, I THINK it stops the whole effect. I can't test it anymore now though because eventually it stops causing this whole movement and flicker stuff. Attempting to imagine the eyes moving again causes my eyelids to raise slightly, and for some stupid reason this keeps happening at night when I want these god dang eyes shut.
And for clarification, I must have. I had two times in the past where I think it was hypnagogic imagery was starting to form but ended up getting me too excited. Both times were probably due to the fact I play a lot of Pokemon. First time a while back, I had the game's battlefield pop into my sight in full shape but what I guess was the transparency effect. The image was blurry but still made out, and the colors were back-of-the-eyes red and gray. A second time this happened, it was in one of the game's towns that appeared in the same way, this one with slightly more space, but not enough to keep me from getting to excited and causing the imagery to fade out. I have a horrible subconscious seeming problem that crosses my eyes when this happens though, unsure how to fix it... Is this the hypnagogic that everyone talks about so other than the lack of color and features?
Is there anything that I can use/fix relating to this for use with WILDing? The eyes faking REM (and vertically/circular-like too, I don't even think that's right) is a terrible distraction that I'm trying to sooth and focus past, as well as the "IT'S WORKING" problem when I get those possible hypnagogic builds or any flashes with significance in the future.
