      New Problem with SP :(

Okay, so to be honest whenever I have tried to go into SP, even when I am doing a WILD I have never gotten through it. My new problem is not lasting through SP, but just getting it. Before I knew what lucid dreaming was I always would get this funny dizzy type feeling if I would lay down for like 1-5 minutes before I slept, and didn't know what it was.

I did some research as I was first starting and found out about SP and how that was the REM stage. I eventually did enough research to see all the scary things related to SP and I was pretty nervous anytime I tried to do it. Even though I was nervous I could easily start going into SP noticing my eyes moving fast and suddenly my heartbeat would get louder and I would feel oh so much heavier. At this time too, I would start going into SP by around 2-6 minutes of laying down. Most of the time I would try to do it for the fun of it at night before I slept, but not during WILD attempts.

Well, now I had stopped worrying about lucid dreaming for about a month and when I tried to go into SP again, I just don't get it at all. Sometimes I have been laying down for close to 30 minutes and I get nothing, when before it was so easy. I am mad at myself now that I would never go through with SP because I was scared. Whenever I would get it before, when my breathing became hard I would just stop because it freaked me out. Now of course I have no fear of it and I would just love to be able to hit SP again.

TL : DR - I used to go into SP in 2-6 minutes, then I stopped trying and about a month later I can't hit SP even if i lay down for 30-45 minutes.

      Any ideas?
Any recommendations of what I should go when trying to enter SP?
Maybe specific feelings that I should ignore?
Also, what is the best time to do it? When i'm really tired? (I usually just fall asleep)

Hi Arkeon. Your problem entering SP doesn't really sound problematic at all. I encourage you to read this tutorial I posted. It specifically helps people induce sleep paralysis.

Let me know how it pans out for you.
