      Waking into SP

I've been trying for weeks to do DEILD (or CAN-WILD) without success, because I wake up with a start and everything is then spoiled because I moved. However, last night I woke up perfectly still. This could be something to do with BrainBullet, which means its working! Anyway, after waking up I can't remember anything else so I must have fallen asleep straight away again.

What I want to know is, is it vital to visualize a dream scene to feel the effects of SP? Shouldn't I have felt it anyway before I went to sleep? I've yet to have a lucid yet after trying for more than a month...

With DEILD you may not really feel SP at all. It seems that in about half of my DEILDs I have actually felt the effects of sleep paralysis. The other half, I simply feel myself wake up and then enter right back into the dream state within a few moments. For DEILD, you almost have to catch yourself waking up (realize you are waking from a dream before you fully wake). It is possible to wake up, then DEILD, but I haven't had much success with it. It seems to be a lot more difficult this way. You need to stay still and keep your eyes closed throughout the process. Remember to keep your consciousness during this time. You don't want to crash out, so always keep your goal in mind. Good luck to you and if you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Quite often when I DEILD, more than any other form of WILD, I go straight into the dream. The only time I've experienced SP with DEILD was the first time I tried it, the other times were because I got a DILD that lasted ~5 seconds before hand and I woke up in SP.

How are you visualizing your dream scene? Are you making up a new one, or are you replaying the dream you just had (or one you've previously had)? The latter works much easier than the former. Also, don't get discouraged, these things take practice. Any form of WILD (including DEILD, VILD, FILD, etc.) is usually much harder to learn than DILD or MILD.
