Talking Help with WILD - Is this the correct sensation??

Hi guys, I just wanted to post regarding WILDing. I think I've gotten extremely close using KingYoshi's guide and Reverse-blinking. The main issue I'm having is with my breathing, I just want to be sure this is the correct sensation.

You see when I begin to drift off into SP, at least I belief its SP, the weight on my chest drastically increases, and I feel vibrating sensations, but anyhow when I go into SP my breathing scares me out of it. It feels like I can't breath at all, now I've heard in a guide that its natural because my body needs to switch my breathing from manual to automatic, I just need confirmation however that I am feeling the same sensation and that it is perfectly normal.

What happens is, when I feel like I'm going into SP I try and hold my body, as I assume my whole body has to be still for SP to work (no body movements at all, is this right?) so I also stop my chest from inflating/deflating. Suddenly I feel myself progressing into SP due to vibrations, but feel like I need to gasp for air, even though I can feel SP onset, the need to gasp is so strong that I can't take my mind off it and I not only end up gasping for air, but I also giving up because my heart starts thumping due to the situation .

I feel like I'm doing this wrong, or I'm missing something. Can anybody provide me with a step-by-step description of what progression into SP feels like, all I have found is descriptions of what sensations occur during SP itself.

I understand what you;re going through. The same thing happened to me last night. I felt 2 Large, you could almost call them waves, pass through my head, then vibrations, but it felt like I needed to stay still and control my breathing, so i pushed myself out of the SP by accident.

even though I failed, I know WHY it doesn't work for me (and probably you too). When you finally reach SP, you get over-excited and try to make sure nothing goes wrong. You pay attention to everything, including breathing and all that. The problem is, the more attention you give to something, the worse off you are. Try to find a way to make it feel natural, that way, you don't startle your way out of it.

I'm not going to add an LD count because I sort of don't keep count. I've had about 2-3 WILDs... i think and one or two DILDS.

What you said pretty much sums up what I feel a lot of the time. Always just on the edge of SP and then failing because I need to breathe, I just think it's my paranoia of something going wrong so I make myself breathe and get out of it.
Even if you can't breathe your body will breathe when it needs to , it wont let you die. Just keep that in mind and try again that's what I'm doing tonight.

I haven't had much luck with WILD though I find using a anchor really helps with staying focused and not making you concentrate hard.

If you don't know, an anchor is basically anything you can use to stay awake whether it be in your background eg. Fan from your computer, or in your mind eg. counting
At the fork in the road I turned left while everyone else turned right..

Ya I just used what I said in the above post last night, and had my second lucid dream. Honestly people make it seem harder than it is, just wake up and plan to have one every time.

Yeah, I have the exact same thing. You feel like you have to be still, but then your chest moves a foot out every time you breathe. You feel like you have to be quiet, but your heart goes ridiculously loud. I found that if I focus on an external anchor (I use my fan) then it distracts me so I don't think about it
