Question Cant get it quite right, any help? Please?

Hey, i'm new to this forum, and started getting interested in lucid dreaming a cupole of weeks ago.
Anyways, i have been attempting the WILD technique a cupole of times, and i cant seem to figure it out. What i do is that i just lie in my bed, paying attention to my breathing and nothing more. The first time i did this, which was about when i was going to bed, i got the buzzing feeling described in many tutorials. Then it faded, and nothing more happened. The second time i did this (in the afternoon) i got similar results. The last 2 times i have felt nothing, and i ended up giving up after about 30 min. I have tried both counting and breath control.
I have not tried doing this in the middle of the night, i will try that tonight.
      So i have some questions.

Is there anything obious that i am doing wrong?
Is there anything else i should think of?
I have downloaded some binural beats (theta, 4-6 hz) to my ipod, will they do any good or bad if i listen to them during the attempt?

PS: I wasnt sure if i should bost this in the newbie zone, but this seemed good.

Hey! Nice to see more people from Sweden, I guess I can't write this in Swedish so I write it in English =( But you can pm me and I can teach you the basics (in swedish xD) Ok two obvious misstakes you are doing hmm.
Well you said you were new to lucid dreaming and then it's not recommended to try WILD techniques first! Because they are too hard for most of the beginners.
And sure it's a good idea to try it in the afternoon, but it's still WILD so it's still very hard to succeed. And you also tried it before going to sleep, which is the most difficult time to succeed of them all! So my advice to you is to read as many threads that you can about lucid dreaming just to get the hang of it.
Look in the tutorial section and read the threads about MILD, DILD, WBTB, WILD and DEILD, and EILD. Just so you know what kind of techniques there are out there.
But beginners should probably just experience a lucid dream and then focus on how to get them more frequently, and therefore I suggest you try out DILD and MILD.
I can describe it here quickly.

DILD: (Dream Induced Lucid Dream) When something in the dream world makes you aware of that it's a dream.

MILD: (Mnemonic Induced Lucid Dream) When you affirm to become lucid.
Like writing a note that sais "The next time I am dreaming I will realise that I am dreaming" and then our fantastic brain makes it happend.

And last of all but the most important also:

MOTIVATE yourself to get lucid dreams. Why do you want to get to a world were you can play God? Dumb question, but some pracctioners just try to get a lucid dream and then decide what to do, and that's not a reliable method because dreams are pretty unstable so you must have a plan of action while you are there.
So watch movies like The Matrix and Avatar too really motivate yourself and make the lucid dreams come easier.

But my point is that the first lucid dream is actually pretty easy to attain, because the first lucid dream come because you think about lucidity itself.

And the binaural beats part... Hmm
I have never had any success with it, but that doesn't mean that you can't have!
So by all means try that, just do everything you can now to experience your first beautiful lucid dream

Hope this post helped you ^^

Chris. and pm me if you want to learn some more =)
