      Last night... WILD question/statement

Okay, I finally found the first WILD tutorial I read and printed it out.. While reading it I started to go into SP I could feel my feet starting to twitch. At one point I focussed on watching my feet, and indeed they were twitching. "What on earth??" was my reaction.

I attempted a wild last night right after finshing reading but failed because I fell asleep while trying. Focussing on a sound is definitely not working for me. Is there any other thing that I can focus on?

I am going to move this to the WILD section
      ^^
While you are in SP, try not to focus on anything, don't focus on your thoughts, or what you are feeling (SP wise) or anything like that try to keep your mind clear.
Focus on your breathe. I don't know if you have tried that yet, but you should.
Or you can pretend you are in an elevator, on floor 100, you breathe in and count down, breathe out, etc.
breathe in, 100, breathe out, 99, breathe in, 98, breathe out, but slowly. You can also say "lucid dreams" or something after the number. This elevator thing is also helpful.

      flowers shall grow
      and I am in them
      and that is eternity.

Check the WILD section of that guide and be sure to go through some of the other guides listed as resources, especially the one titled "Why You Fail At WILDs."

      Hope this helps.

Oh, haha! Cool, I just read that one last night.

I also read 2 or 3 pages of replies.

I haven't gone through some of the resources though. I'll start there thanks.

      By the way...

MY MOST RECENT UPDATE: I haven't been able to WILD for ages now. I mean, I couldn't even enter partial sleep paralysis until last night after reading a tutorial I had been struggling to find for ages now. It didn't quite work out as planned, so I will try again tonight. This time 'round though will be different. The WILD tutorial I used for the first few times (my first attempts at WILDing a short while after the beginning of the the year), made things quite work out quite smoothly and proved to be a successful method despite the lack of experience I had back then (not that I'm experienced now), I'll be focussing on listening to my breath which will get me to sleep paralysis, (it did so last night). From there I will keep telling myself to "relax deeper" as I breathe out and occasionally repeat "I am going into a dream.", (I found that doing this helped A LOT during my earlier attempts -- before I started asking around. As I go further into sleep-state, I will become more and more quiet in order to allow my body to fall asleep... or is it the mind? I forgot now . If this doesn't work out tonight, (at bedtime), I will try again at 3:30AM, when my first alarm goes off - hopefully I wake up. It isn't that advice was bad it was great and gave me a deeper insight into different techniques of WILDing and other techniques such as DEILDing, WBTBing and so on. As Mzzkc explained, we need to develop our own personalised techniques' -- which is why I want to go back to the beginning and start over and as I go along I want to test out others' ideas and see what works for me and what doesn't adding to 'my technique' as advance as a lucid dreamer.

If you're wondering which tutorial I'm using, It's almost an identical copy of the WILD tutorial that was recently removed from the tutorials page and replaced with a newer one. Here's the link: http://www.rotteneggs.com//r3/show/se/240751.html
