      Wild + mild?

      Has anyone else ever done this?

      Last night I was attempting a WILD and I felt my body go numb and softly vibrate as usual. Then something new happened: I started having some weird hallucinations. I was seeing people dancing all around my room with my eyes closed, and when I opened my eyes I still saw the same thing. It kinda freaked me out so I closed my eyes again and started repeating a mantra "I am dreaming, I am lucid" to take my mind off of the hallucination. I kept repeating it over and over as the people danced around and suddenly I "woke up" into my 2nd lucid dream ever! ( posting it soon in my dream journal )

      Basically, do you think that using MILD after reaching SP/HH is more effective than WILD or MILD on their own?

      No what you did last night was simply a WILD . The hallucinations you were seeing were from hypnagogia. It happens to you right before you enter a Dream using the WILD technique. Really you didn't even have to use that mantra you could have simply stayed aware and relax. But congrats on the second LD

      Oh really? Awesome I guess I had my first successful WILD So when the hallucinations start just keep consciously watching them until I 'wake up' into a dream? Thanks!
