Thread: Attemptd a WILD - First Time Getting Close

Hey everyone. Last night was a little odd for me. I had an amazingly vivid lucid dream and once I woke from it, I was still in sleep paralysis. It took longer than it should have to realize WHY I couldn't move my arm even though I could see it right in front of me (I sleep on my side).

I thought about trying a WILD since I'm in the perfect state to do it in. I closed my eyes and slowed my breathing. Almost instantly I felt a huge wave come over my body (I guess I now understand why people describe it that way) and a somewhat loud ringing in my ears. I was trying to be very careful with my breathing so it would pass over completely. Unfortunately I was very inconsistent with my breathing and it seems to waver right about "half way" between losing the sensation and it passing over as it should. The slower and calmer I breathed, the farther along it seemed to go to "completion".

After about 10-15 seconds of that I realized that if I didn't write down the lucid dream I had I would forget about it with the next one I was bound to have. I really didn't want to forget the amazing scenery in that dream so I decided to back out, despite really wanting to experience a WILD for the first time.

In the end I don't regret my decision. I like taking baby steps anyway. To actually get out of the SP I just started breathing in and out really fast. I don't remember where I read that but it worked perfectly.

P.S: After I got up to fetch my dream journal my muscles went a little crazy and were twitching all over. I was literally shaking out of control while I was writing my dream. What the hell was that all about?
