Hello,
1) Did I do OK? Am I on the right track her for WILDing?
Yep you felt the vibrational period, it's not the same for everyone, but what you described sounds pretty similar to me.
2) I had A LOT of yawning while I was laying there? Is that normal, do I surpress it?
I don't think it's been proven yet why we yawn, but I got told it keeps you awake, but I don't have to struggle to suppress it.
(I like yawning lol, but I don't do it when I attempt to WILD.)
3) The eyes. What do we do about them. Do they stay closed the whole time? Because I opened mine a couple times and I think I mucked it up.
Yeah Try to keep them closed as much as you can, definitely don't try and keep them open, when I try to WILD my eyes sometimes start to open by themselves which is quite distracting.
4) Couple times I fell asleep, but woke right up. Am I supposed to stay awake? Do I let myself fall a sleep. I was affraid if I just fell asleep I would forget what I was doing?
Nope, your main aim is to fall asleep, but to remain concious, it's a very difficult balance to keep at first, especially after feeling the vibrations. Just try to relax and passive remain aware, of course there is other methods, try visualising yourself falling/sinking through your bed, or concentrate on your breathing. The guides vary in the technique on entering the dreams, so it depends what suits you.
5) I'm supposed to stay awake for the 90 minutes to get to REM?
Nope? When you WBTB you should try to wake up at the start of an REM period, some people like to get up for abit, the best times are usually 4.5 hours / 6 hours after sleep. Staying up after WBTB should only be done to a maximum of 30 mins!
Naps in the day are usually REM.
Hope it helped, ask away if you have anymore, you did well!
