      Positions

I think many of us have the dilemma of wanting to WILD on our backs, but not being able to fall asleep. Is it possible to switch the position you fall asleep in? Would it just be easier to try and WILD on my side? Even though I fall asleep on my belly, I don't feel comfortable WILDing on it. I do feel relaxed and comfortable on my back, but I cannot fall asleep. O What To Do

Just go with however you feel comfortable is what I think. I had that exact same problem when I was just starting out. Usually for me to fall asleep I have to be on my belly or my side, and I use to think that the only way WILDS worked was on your back, however every time I'd try to WILD on my back I just didn't feel comfortable and it never worked. Then the moment I tried it on my side...success. I think you should just try it whichever position you feel the most comfortable and usually fall sleep in because the point is to sleep when trying a WILD and if you aren't comfortable then there's no way you'll be able to fall asleep.

      hi there my friend,
In WILDing, you need to be in a position that is comfortable for you. If you feel comfortable when lying by your stomach, then lie by your stomach. If you feel comfortable when lying by your sides, then lie by your sides. You have the will to choose what position you want in WILDing. During a WILD, you can also slowly shift your body's position if you're starting to feel uncomfortable. Hope this clears it up

So if I find lying on my back comfortable, even though I have never fallen asleep on it, I will still be able to WILD properly?

I wonder where people get these ideas that WILD doesn't involve...you know...falling asleep. You think you're gonna meditate into a dream?

You need to be in a comfortable position in a sense that you'll be able to fall asleep in that position. So if you fall asleep while lying by your sides, then lie by your sides. In a normal sleep, your mind usually falls asleep first before your body does. But in a WILD, it's different, your body sleeps first but your mind remains awake. So the main goal in a WILD is to trick your body into falling asleep while retaining your mental consciousness. Hope this helps and feel free to ask more questions
