Hey guys, just wondering, are certain sleeping positions recommended over others for WILD techniques ? |

Haha its frustrating eh? |

from what I've read...a few people find it hard to sleep on their backs. BUT, i've also read a few WILDers who sleep on their sides, WILD on their backs. |

Quality LD's: 16
Wow, where'd you get that graphic from? "Starfish" feels so natural to me that I can't imagine other people not drifting into the position themselves, but if the numbers are really that low, then... that surprises me. |
Haha Spamtek, apparently people who sleep in the starfish position make good friends because they are always ready to listen to others, and offer help when needed. They generally don't like to be the centre of attention. |

Soldier and starfish have given me my most psychedelic LDs (usually WILDs). I'm much more likely to levitate or fall in those positions, like you said. |
yeah ! I get that a lot too ! omg I never realized it was because of the pillow pressing against my head.... I can usually feel my heart beating all over my body when this happens though, more strongly in my head, but still all over my body. How do you stop that from happening ? |

Anyone ? Lol ... just looking for some help, |

Wow, the way I sleep isnt even listed |
I'd advise you to just relax. I'm pretty sure this has to do with stress, because when this happens, my neck is usually tense and hard, which doesn't allow my head to rest properly. |
it all comes to the person , i try to LD lying on my back although i always fall asleep while sleeping on the side , while on my back i can somtimes achieve sp , but on the side it goes all the way throuh to ld or obe |
fetal here. with pillow between legs and arms. otherwise i get bruises and my limbs fall asleep. i need to gain weight. i'll start doing the soldier one. lol @ log position. who does that? |
Does anyone here think that it's really best to sleep how you normally sleep? I think I get to sleep faster in foetus and slower in soldier. However, I haven't had much luck with WILDs, so I might be wrong! |

I would expect a softer and bigger pillow to reduce the pulsating sensation in your head. The pillow would sink lower, but it would also take the shape of your head better reducing pressure points on your head ... it would basically distribute the weight of your head more evenly and so I would expect it to reduce the pulsating sensation too. |

im having this EXACT same problem.....except I have different phases...first it start off on my side then I get on my stomach and I'm out. if I could just stay in one position I could wild but I can't...I HAVE to shift or I cant fall asleep........its so annoying |
Hmm... silly article, good way of classifying sleeping positions I suppose. I sleep in the "foetus" or "yearner" (when I'm missing my girlfriend...), so I find it difficult to WILD - I've only ever had numbness and vibrations. |
Ok, I usually sleep on my stomach, but if I am really tired, I can sleep on my back. |
What about that study from the Lucidity Institute that proposed you should sleep on your right side like Tebetan dream yoga teaches? I know they're redoing it right now. |
