Problem in the transition part of WILD

Hello guys. I need some advice as regards the transition phase where I should get from the awake state to the dream state. I'm able to keep my body still for about 20-30 minutes (40' is my personal record) but I wouldn't say I'm good at the transition part. Actually, I think I miss something here, maybe a tip about how to procceed?

Visualize the dreamscape of the dream you want to go in. Picture how it affects all 5 senses. First and foremost, how does it look? Is it a vast open field with grass flowing in the wind, or a coliseum with thousands of people cheering? How does it feel? Is it warm, cold? Is the wind blowing hard, moderately, not at all? What can you hear? Wind blowing through the fields, or thousands screaming and yelling? What does it smell like? Can you smell the grass/various plants? Or can you smell the left-overs from the previous fight? And, finally, how does it taste? Don't necessarily eat enything, but can you taste the air? Or how does your mouth taste just standing there?

After you have a dream completely visualized, imagine yourself actually there. This is where the othe 4 senses come into play. Anyone can watch a movie on t.v., but you aren't actually there. You have to completely immerse yourself in the dream.

If all else fails and you just fall asleep, it's a good idea to practice DILD along with WILD. It increases your chances of having one and every time you go to sleep you could have a DILD, while a WILD you have to prepare for/really go through with.

Good luck and don't give up!

Hey there BlueKing, didn't we talk on Chat the other night?
Burke has provided you with just about a detailed response on how to transition with an active imagination process, but there is also another transition method. This is called the 'passive' method.
What you are required to do is relax your mind and body to a state where you are capable of sleeping, but not quite fall asleep straight away. As you hit sleep paralysis (SP), you may start to experience hallucinations, whether it be visual (HI - Hypnagogic Imagery) or any other senses, smell, hearing, etc (HH - Hypnagogic Hallucinations). You should 'passively' as the name of the WILD suggests, monitor these. You may attempt to control or change the senses of HH/HI if you feel confident enough.
