Trying to induce a dream while already in one

Im on a quest to master lucid dreaming and the astral.

I still to the best of my knowledge have never had a lucid dream.

Today i was trying to fall asleep while remaining conscious.
After feeling my body go completely numb ( more intense then sleep paralysis ) I see a kind of tunnel of purple light, then i could feel my dream body move while knowing it was not my real body. This all felt really cool and i was exited but remained calm. I was disappointed when i discontented from that feeling, then I tried to change positions in bed because i was kind of uncomfortable and attempted to try to go back to sleep, back to the previous state. my stomach started hurting but i still tried my hardest to relax and go back into my dream. I thought i had woken up but this what not the case.

I was in my bed trying to consciously enter my dreams while already dreaming. The pain in my stomach was intense but i just tried to tank it and continued since i thought that once i entered my dream it would all be fine. The pain was to much so i got up from my bend and went to tell my roommate about the whole dream thing and that i was in pain, so i went to hes room and fell at hes room entrance in pain, then we talked about all that had happened only to then wake up and realize i was dreaming all along.

So i went from meditating/relaxing, keeping my mind free from thought and trying to "feel" my self consciously going into a dream to doing the same while already in a dream. for an unknown reason, pain was the result.

Im still very new to this and im sure i will eventually master my dreams.

Anyone experienced have any advice? i told my self after that if i ever felt pain it would be my cue to realizing I'm already in the dream.

First post, looking forward to learning from people.

The fact that you are dreaming of trying to lucid dream, mean's you are very close. I dreamt of thinking about lucid dreaming and got a lucid shortly after.

Well you did well for getting into the dream, you must of had a lapse of conciousness, all I can recommend is try to remain concious through it all.
