Question Need help becoming lucid/having OBE?

Hey guys, I just tried to ... have a lucid or an OBE. I would prefer an OBE at this point, but either would be awesome. Anyway, I lied still in my bed and breathed deeply. I counted my breaths. Eventually, i obtained what I believe to be sleep paralysis aka that weird feeling of being paralyzed. It was tingling all over my body mixed with EXTREME heart rate and blood pressure (thats what i felt in my neck lol). Is this actually sleep paralysis? Anyway, I stayed that way for awhile and didn't know what to do to get an OBE. I just couldn't quite get it as I don't seem to fully understand how to do it. My mind was fully awake. I eventually opened my eyes since nothing happened. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get into an OBE / lucid dream from this point? I can get there easily, but I'm not sure what to do next. Sorry if this is the wrong section or anything like that. I'm new. And i'm too excited to have a lucid/OBE to do an intro lool. Anyway, please comment and shed some light on this for me. Also, is it normal for it to feel like my jugular and other neck vessels are gonna blow? This kind of scared me... Anyway, thanks for reading. Please reply asap.

Sorry to bump, but I just wanted to update ya'll about my attempts at this. I just entered sleep paralysis and I think I got to the vibrations stage I can never really tell, but anyway, I tried to turn it into an OBE, but I simply couldn't. I tried all the "exit methods" I could remember and nothing worked. Some things seemed to feel like they could work but none did. Anyone got any ideas? I really want an OBE or a lucid dream. I may go to bed in the next couple of hours so... We'll see. Maybe I'll accidentally have a lucid dream by sleeping. Who knows. But can someone please help me out? I am desperate to have a lucid dream / OBE. I just cant transfer from paralysis to the OBE. If anyone replies, I'll try one more time to have one tonight. Otherwise I'll go to bed. It is 1:20 here so... yeah. But I dont work or anything so... Please help a fella out. Thank you.

Two things, first of all, sorry for the bump, second of all, I just failed AGAIN at having a OBE. Can someone help me figure this out PLEASE? I mean, I tried all the "exit methods" I know and it didn't work at all. I am able to easily induce sleep paralysis but I can't get any farther. Please reply somebody. I'm desperate!

Well first of all, it's not that easy. One does not simply do it at first attempt
And another thing, when did you do these attempts? for best probability for success you should do it on a wbtb(wake back to bed) after 4-6 hours of sleep.

If you do that and reach SP and get vibrations, just remain calm and you will enter a dream.
Dont expect the dream, let it come to you. You can't think about it like "is the dream coming now??" "how much is it left?". You have to just focus on your breath and act like you're normally going to sleep.

Well I have tried it at many different times. Once at around 4:30 a.m. another at around 2:00 and the last one I tried was at 2:00 and that one I didn't expect to even get SP but I did. I can get SP just fine. I'm just having trouble after that. I don't really know if I've gotten vibrations or not. However, the WBTB doesn't work for me because I cannot wake up once I'm asleep. About 3 times, I went to take a nap and awoke the next day. My family tried to wake me up but couldn't. I don't really wake up to alarms either. Anyway, It's hard to remain calm because my heart is pounding OUT OF MY CHEST and I cant be calm when that's happening. Should I just keep doing the breath thing until it comes? And I mean... I don't know. I'm almost a bit confused about it... I have only tried it 4 times and only 3 times that had much of any potential to work... When I do it, I try to focus only on my breathing, but I get very bored of waiting. I mean, I don't know. How long does it usually take you? Maybe I just have no patience. Anyway, I'll try again tonight. If you can give any tips on what you think I should do, let me know. I guess I'll just have to wait.

Well, it won't really work so good for you if you do it when going to bed.. Try putting alarmclocks at different times of the night, like 3 or 4 different alarms, maybe one happens to be in your light sleep so you will easily wake up or in your rem, then it's also easy to wake up.

Your first rem(dream sleep) starts about 90 minutes after you've been asleep and it only lasts for like 10 minutes.. So even if you get what you think is "sp" when attempting to WILD when going to bed, you will most likely not enter a dream.. and if you do, it will be short.

and yea just keep calm, think of it as going to sleep
