      From SP to LD?

first off, let me preface that i have no clue whether or not this 'WILD' experience was real or not. i was in that sleepy twilight daze when it happened. (NO, not Twilight as in the books. funny how a book can ruin such a beautiful word...)
i was laying in bed, sometime in the middle of the night. not sure if i had just woken up, i probably had, otherwise it wouldnt have happened so fast. anyway, i was laying there, not really feeling like moving, when my heart rate seems to go through the roof, and i get really, really tense. when i consider that it might be SP, i try to relax a bit. not sure if the feeling had passed or not -pretty sure it did-, when i try to go into a dream.
i know that if i LITERALLY try to move my arms, i probably will move them irl. so i re-create the feeling of my arm moving (which, i must say, can be pretty accurate), and it seems to move my dream-body. i do this until i (my 'dream' self) am on my hands and knees on the bed, but i can still feel my other self, and my eyes are still closed. they feel like theyre glued shut with that weird residue that always seems to build up overnight. i try to open them, and blow the whole thing by accidentally opening my real eyes. i think i did a RC at that point, nose plug, that told me that i was awake (but i had a cold at the time, so i might not have been able to breathe becuase my real nose was plugged up with mucus...)
that was a very long setup for two quick questions
      1: was that real SP?
2: was i doing it right? if not, help?
      Sorry for apologizing...

It sounds to me like you were close, but more like you were just at the verge of SP rather than actually in it yet. The thing to do when you feel the heart rate escalate etc is to just relax - you dont want to try to force anything. Just lay still and concentrate on the transparent images that start forming behind your eyelids - if it goes well, they'll become more solid and start moving, and then become a dream. But it's important not to try to move around before this dream forms or you'll break the spell.
