      Blurry memory of OBE

      hi,

so yesterday when i went to bed I tried to practice my SP induction, i was following "Jeff777's Free-falling WILD technique!", which works very well.
I know its really really hard to WILD if you don't get some sleep first because of the REM periods.
Anyway so I was trying to get the feeling of SP following that guide, but then suddenly without noticing I lost conscious for a bit and the next thing i knew was i was seeing my room, but it was really blurry then I noticed I was in an OBE and I tried to "get up". I managed to get up i remember i was in my room but then nothing and I just woke up in the morning.

But the big question is, why the OBE was so blurry and I can barely remember it ?
Was because I didn't have enough sleep ? I didn't want to get an OBE though, just wanted to get some practice being aware of the SP

      Thanks

      Hey!

There are many possible reasons for your blurry OBE. It could also be a result of them combined. Anyways, that first REM tends to produce short low quality experiences. It has to do with your circadian rhytm and brain chemistry. The memory aspect of it could be because of your dream recall, where tiredness is a contributing factor. It could also be due to the fact that it was unintended, as mindset affects memory.

Now to the important part. There is nothing wrong with having SP as a checkpoint or a goal, that's your choice. I would recommend having the LD/OBE as a goal instead, as i believe that's what you want to remember. Any method that aims for SP can infact induce an LD/OBE before SP kicks in. SP is primarily there for the safety of your experiences.

Of all my (i don't know how many) succesful WILDs, I've gone through SP in about 5% of them. As for the rest of them, they were all through earlier transition. So don't wait for SP, if it happens... fine (you're dreaming). Just be open to the possibility of LD/OBE at any time during your WILDs.

      Best of luck. Tucane
