It could possibly not be SP, if not that then what stage was it?
Through SP a few times in the past, including the one a few nights ago, I've been able to enter a Lucid dream, or potentially an OBE, not sure what it would be. I'd be in SP, eyes open, can't move, intense fear, and after many times of practice in the past I'm now able to exit my body so to speak. It's an odd feeling but alot of the time I'd just have to imagine myself rising out of my body rather than trying to control it like normal as that doesn't work being paralyzed. With that I've wandered my house, and a few times burst through the window, or exited the front door and entered another dream world or something. Through this I'm fully lucid. So that's why I'm trying to do the WILD technique or whatever that I read where it leads you into SP, from there I can manage the rest. It's just I haven't been able to manually get to SP through WILD yet. I thought I did last night but it lasted too short for me to be fully sure. Last night was the closest I think I've gotten to success though not by much. Before during WILD I'd only do the lay down, stay still, and wait part and nothing would happen, and I'd just fall asleep. So yeah last night was different, when I thought I had it, at the part where I needed, everything went back to normal.. darn.
So I would like to reproduce SP as often as I can if possible. Is there a method that can lead to this whenever I wanted?
I would only focus on trying to become Lucid Through Sleep Paralysis when you actually get Sleep Paraylsis. You shouldnt be looking/waiting for Sleep Paralysis to happen. I have never experienced sleep paralysis ever and have over 20 WILDs to my credit. The most ive experienced was tactile sensations such as bed trembling, shaking, feeling my dream body wiggle out of physical body, etc. And auditory hallucinations such as people laughing, talking, and random sirens. All i had to do to end this hypnagogia was to open my eyes. Never experienced full body paralysis ever.
Now you say you remained motionless for over an hour? I used to try that technique when i got into lucid dreaming, and all it did was mess up my sleep pattern and frustrate me to the point of giving up on lucid dreaming entirely. Thank the lord, i got great answers from people like CMIND, gab, Mzzck, and that one girl whos profile pic of from that alien movie, who explained to me what i should really do to WILD.
It literally takes me a minute at most to perform a WILD. Usually my technique is similar to DEILD if i manage to wake up still but 9/10, I wake up dead tired, and bring up a simple visualization, like looking at my hands or driving my car, or looking at my house, and within seconds the visualization slowly becomes more vivid until im actually dropped in the dream.
Hope this helps
