Hey guys. This discussion is directed towards other dreamers that are successful using WILD method. I've been doing quite a bit of experimenting inside of the lucid dream state and also trying to pay special attention to the WILD method and the unique sensations and generally unique experience of a WILD. I had approximately 12 LD's this morning, most of which were WILD entry but also a couple from false awakening reality checks. I've noticed that during a WILD entry I generally have to wade through all of the hallucinatory sensations at least once or twice until my body is so completely relaxed that I seem to just skip past all of that and go directly to the dream landscape vision. However, there are also lots of times I find I can jump the gun and reach the dream before the vision even appears. This happens during the hypnagogic state when I start to feel a sense of motion. Whether it's simply floating out or spinning on my side like a barrel or as if i'm spinning in a circle on my stomach or flying head over heels like a hamster wheel I can encourage that motion and make myself spin faster and faster until shortly I feel that I'm ready to completely "detach" I guess is the best word. As soon as this happens I feel myself being tossed out completely and into the dream world. The only downside that I've come to realize about doing this instead of waiting for the vision to appear is that I usually find myself in a very dark landscape or room at least for the beginning of the dream and for some reason I'm unable to turn on a light or even conjure up or command the light to come on. If I wait for the vision of the dream landscape and then go in this isn't the case, it's normally lit up and vibrant right from the start. On the opposite side of this motion entry I've noticed that there is a similar effect when the dream vision fades. Almost always I can grab hold of something as I feel the vision fading and for awhile even in complete darkness I can still very much feel the physical sensation of the object I am holding or touching and often even pull myself back into the dream that way.
It seems that by not waiting for the vision to appear it's like your mind hasn't had time to flesh out the dream yet, almost like a computer that's still trying to load a program.
I know that's a very long read but my interest in particular to you that will relate to this is about the motion entry aspect. Do you find that entering a dream this way without having the vision of the dream settled onto you, that you are usually in darkness at least at the start of the experience?
Thanks for reading
