      First successful WILD cut short?

Last night I had a pretty successful WILD attempt. After flirting with unconsciousness for a bit I submitted, which helped bypass SP to some degree. The sounds of birds chirping outside surrounded me as my bedroom room appeared out of darkness. I recognized that this place was a dream re-creation of my house, and I that was "Seeing through my eyelids." I brought my hand up to my face to do a quick reality check, but could barely make it out in the darkness. The whole dream felt hazy, and I knew that, so I sat up with full confidence that I was dreaming, and began touching the blankets at the end of my bed. But it didn't fix the problem. Everything in the room was fading and the darkness overtook my vision. I lost control, and my LD came to an untimely end. Has anyone that has been sent to their house during a LD had a problem with darkness overtaking the dream? Does my house work like a full lucid, where I could say procure a flashlight?

Any insight would be helpful. 😁

      Congrats on WILD!
Sounds like your awareness was just low and/or dream was just unstable, or maybe your sleep was too light or you were worried about waking up, it's not uncommon, keep practicing awareness and don't be worried, it will be better next time, also you could try using stabilization techniques to stabilize the dream once you are in: http://www.dreamviews.com/articles/9...-tutorial.html
By the way, SP is not related to WILD, or even lucid dreaming overall, in any way, and you don't need to worry about it, it's very rare experience unless you have sleep disorder, if it ever happens it happens only like once or twice through lifetime for most, http://www.dreamviews.com/wake-initi...mystified.html , for WILD you need to fall asleep while keeping awareness, i strongly suggest to check those tutorials:

The only thing I would add is to not stay near your bed/body. Roll out and get away from it as soon as you can, and then stabilize. Thinking about the body may or may not have a tendency to end the dream quickly until you have more experience.
