Intense Disorientation during First WILD. Should I wake after each individual lucid?

I had my first successful WILD this morning. I awoke an hour and a half early, and meditated while telling myself I would become lucid for a good half hour. I then drank a cup of chai tea and laid back in bed with binaural beats and started my deep breathing while telling myself I would become lucid. After a little while my "aura" felt like it was expanding and my body was getting smaller. I then felt an extremely disorienting feeling as though I was flying through the air in various directions. I kept myself conscious and experienced a string of three lucid dreams separated by times where I could hear the binaural beats. I was afraid to open my eyes because I thought I would not be able to go back into lucidity, so instead I focused on my breathing, and performed two more WILD's with another session of consciousness. The lucid dreams each lasted about 20 minutes, and I eventually lost control. I cannot wait to get more control of them.

I also couldn't remember my last dream, even though it was the most intense. Should I have woken up and wrote them down individually?

      Sorry for the late reply

Congrats on your first WILDs. What an experience - 3 of them and all so long. Awesome!

The flying throught the air was one of my first sensations, and also used to be the most frequent one. I don't get those any more. Too bad I learned only towards the end, that at that time I'm already in a dream and can open my dream eyes. I managed to do it once, and I found myself flying through the universe, passing by a georgeous pink nebula or galaxy.

You had 3 LDs. First one was a WILD, next 2 were DEILDs. Since it sounds you may have woken up between them. But you did a great job "not waking up too much". That's how you got into those other 2 LDs.

Check out the Dream control subforum for more about controlling your lucids.

And whether to wake up after LD to write it up or to continue on in hopes of another one, is a personal choice. Depends on what you value more at that moment. Experiencing the transitions and LD, practicing entering, or having a good memory of what you have done in them.

When I have a chain like you had, during transition, I go through the dream that just ended. I use words to re-tell it to myself. That way there is a better chance of remembering it later. And I also frequently find, that I don't remember the latest ones as well as the first ones. I think it's because I have time to re-tell those earlier ones, but the last one I lose, because I either get up without re-telling it, or I try to have another LD, but I fall asleep normally.

      Good luck and happy dreams
