For a while now I have been trying to lucid dream to have an OBE. All of the times I have failed. Just last night I feel as though I have gotton closest.mI am going to say all of the experiences so someone could tell me what i can change.
The first thing I had done last night was I laid down, right on my back, left arm on my chest and my right on my leg. I had two blankets on me. I closed my eyes and just thought "I am going to lucid dream" over and over again. All of my thoughts were gone, except that one. My body got heavier. It felt as I had no control over my limbs. Usually when I got to this point it would get uneasy and force them to move. I begun to feel a vibration in my whole body. I was expecting this. The more I chanted in my brain, the weaker the vibrations got. Eventually they were gone. A few minutes later I felt and "saw" something pass over me. My eyes were closed. I had not gotton startled or anything. Once again, I was expecting this. But for some reason right after that my body went into some sort of panic mode. My breathing gotton really short and really fast. My heart rate accelerated, while I hadn't moved my eyes shot open. I scanned the whole room and nothing was there, I closed my eyes and chanted faster in my head, after about 5 minnites and my body calmed again. Darkness and silence, after a few seconds I felt my hand moving, not my physical hand. I had no control, but I made it stop. Darkness. I tried the rope technique, trying to pull my dream body from my physical one, I couldn't climb the later. I wasn't ready yet. So I relaxed further. Eventually I started to loose my control. ,y mind started to wander, I brought it back by chanting louder and faster, I got control back but not for long, I started to slip again. THis time the thoughts going through were really negative but I pushed them back. After this I slipped one last time, I didn't recover this time. I fell asleep. While I remember the dream quite clearly I had no control in it. So I don't think I need to explain it. I woke up this morning. Exact same position. I hadn't move in my sleep.
This is all I remember, I can give more details if needed, I remember basically everything, clearly. Does anyone understand why I failed? Please tell me what I should change in my technique. Thanks
