Hi,
I belive you shouldn't put too much focus on those sensations
They are things that might show up during WILD yet they don't need
I myself rarely get those kind of sensations.
And if i get them then they might be more of distraction than a help
I preffer just lying sleep and performing technique till i'il just be in dream
There are three things you need for successfully WILDing:
- Fall Asleep
- Retain Awareness
- Rem Phase
First thing is simply falling asleep and being able to do so
So don't eat or drink anything that might make you fall asleep longer before your attempt?
The second thing is retaining awarenesss
You need some kind of anchor that will keep your consciousness awake while your body will be asleep
Finding effective anchor is probably hardest thing in WILDing.
Anchor can be anything that can engage your mind a bit: Counting, Mantras, Visualizing, Pain, Breathing etc.
There's also balance part of the anchor
If anchor will be too light then it might make you fall asleep unconsciously
If anchor will be too heavy then you might be unable to fall asleep or at best it will take you a longer to do it?
The anchor's power depends aswell on how sleep your body is, so it is quit weird balance out there.
And here goes the third part. A Rem Phase,
This part is mainly about WBTB aka how long you slept before your attempt
The longer you sleep the shorter nrem is and longer rem is
So lenght of your lucid dreams and time you have to endure with use of your anchor?
I myself usually sleep 6 - 7 hours before performing wild attempts
And it is easier to regain consciosuness for shorter time than longer ofcourse.
Imo 4.5 hours might be a little too short for practicing WILDs
But that's my personal opinion, we are each different and we sleep different
So i guess you have to experiment more to figure out the best balance
And don't focus or put too much attention on sensations which you meet during WILDs
Our body is putting us while we are unconscious into dream world itself, so i guess it would be easier and smoother to just let body do the job itself
Without us interupting transition one way or another?
If spinning goes away then you might consider to wait a little too
Or maybe your emotions are making it go away.
Transition or generally WILD can go different way if our emotions are there
Fearing or being excited might do wrong things during WILDs
I guess that's most of advice i could give you
- Goodluck
If you have any other doubts or questions feel free to ask.
