      What do I do next?

I've been attempting wild for a couple of days now and each time I get to a certain stage where I feel numb and get a few itches, but it never progresses any further than that. I don't move or itch myself, but still nothing happens. I usually wait in this stage for a bout 20 minuites befor giving up. The entire time I focus on falling asleep while maintaining a little awareness. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

20 minutes is way too long to wait. You should be falling asleep with WILD quicker than that. Are you sure you're doing it at the right time? If so, then don't just give up midway through. It sounds like you weren't even WILDing yet-you have to start it once you start feeling very drowsy and sleepy. When you start to get tired, try maintaining awareness so that when you finally enter the dream you become lucid. It appears as if you aren't still and patient for long enough, and that's definitely an integral part of the WILD process.

I wake up shortly after my fourth rem cycle starts. And the part where you mention being drowsy enough is something that challenges me constantly with wild. Mainly because I'm such a light sleeper that when I do my WBTB it usually only lasts about a minuite or 2 or I'll be to awake. So for now on I'm going to do my WBTB without leaving my bed. Thanks for the help I'll report back how it works

I extremely recommend Crazyinsane's Wild technique of using a smart alarm clock to wake yourself up. The purpose of the smart alarm is to stop ringing after a few seconds so that your mind can awake without your body having to move. It eliminates the whole relaxation phase needed, prior to the WILD. Here's the link http://www.dreamviews.com/wake-initi...torial-**.html

Tell me what you think of it, hope it helps!
