i feel like i've gone through a number of techniques over the past couple of years, and i've decided that the DEILD method is suitable for me. i'm relatively experienced with meditation and trance-type things, but i could never WILD because if i move at all or get out of bed for any period of time in the early morning i have a lot of trouble getting back to sleep.
i'd like to hear how other people's DEILD practice has developed over time, and how they got to the level they are at now. people seem to be talking about WILDing all over the place, so i'd like to hear more about this particular technique.
right now i'm trying to train myself to wake up without an alarm in the early morning hours, stay still and keep my eyes closed, and shift into a LD. i'm not making very rapid progress... whenever i walk through a doorway i try to repeat to myself, "i will be aware each time i wake from a dream - i will remain still and keep my eyes closed."
so please post any insight you might have as to how you were able to improve your ability to be aware of the times you wake from a dream, and how you fall back asleep and into a LD. thanks!
