If you can sleep with a sweatband on, it's easy to slip it under the sweatband and keep it attached to your head.
As a pratical joke, my little sister once stuck my phone between my teeth while I was asleep, and then called it. That definatly woke me up, so you could try that.
Or you could slip it in the waistband of your underwear, or better yet, get one of those exercise bands that you can buy for iPods. If you buy the right size, you should be able to put your phone in it, or slip it under the band. That should press it to your skin and let you sleep. They're actually very comfortable, unless you sweat a lot. Plus, you can use them for your iPod during the day!
