      God damn HI & HH!!!

I've been trying to WILD for about 4 months now, and I have been getting better and finding it easier to relax, but every time I get far enough I always get HI that makes me jump awake. For example, last night I was lying on my bed doing the WILD technique, then all of a sudden I hear this really loud, blood-curdling scream-like screeching sound, which results in me jumping awake. Other times I've heard weird Alien noises, dogs barking (and I know that they aren't real dogs, because they sound like they are really close to me, and I haven't got a dog), and loads of other things that make me jump.
I'm not scared of the noises, but because I get to the stage in the WILD where I am really relaxed, and they happen suddenly, it makes me jump awake.

So, does this happen to any people one here, and has anybody got any tips?

I can see how that would be a problem. I'd say to just do your best to ignore it. Even if it makes you jump, continue to relax as if nothing happened, and hopefully you'll be able to re-enter the state much more quickly.

Yup, have happened to me a lot too, but there's only one way around it, and that's to keep calm. Might not sound easy, but after a while it won't really be a problem for you. Before you wild, just calmy tell yourself that weird stuff problaly is going to happen, but you know it's all a part of your mind, heck you can even turn it around and take it all as an awesome experience

I don't think he is afraid of it, it just jars him awake.

It happens to me too once in a while. But not dogs, and screeches, but very big and loud trains going through me and beds falling through the floor.

Nobody said that he's afraid of it.

You can try to visualize something before the hallucinations happen.

It happens to a lot of people! I'm not a big fan of WILDing myself, so I can't give any personal experience, but believe me when I say that you are not the only one. I think a way to fix this is just by expecting these sounds and images to come at you. By expecting them, you may be able to prevent from being startled.

Repeat to yourself that you won't wake up when you hear those sounds or see those images. Perhaps that could help?
