Thread: I think I nearly did it...?

I think I nearly went lucid twice. xD I'm not sure if they're WILD's or what, so please correct me if I'm in the wrong forum. >.>

I was still aware of my surroundings and my mind as I fell asleep while taking a nap, which turned out to be simpler than I thought. The lawnmower outside was running while drifting to sleep, so maybe my mind was focusing on that?

The first time I tried to stay aware of my body and mind, the "falling" was a little nastier. I was being jerked down and it was was making one side get a "swooping" sensation and the other side hurt, if that makes sense. I guess kind of like being gripped around the waist and pulled? xD

I woke up a bit, shifted, and tried again and I just kept falling/being sucked down endlessly. I started wondering whether I was supposed to do anything to enter a dream state, so I tried opening my eyes and rolling over a little.

I found I nearly got somewhere, I think I dropped into a partial dream where I was under a bed or some other big object with a box in front of me, but it was fairly blurry and the lawnmower was stopping me from going any further, because I was still too aware of its sound. >.> I was trying to make it clearer and become more aware of the dream, but that darn lawnmower wouldn't shut off. I don't like having neighbours who care about their lawn sometimes. =X

Then I woke up again, though I wasn't disappointed as usual, just intrigued. xD Naturally, this was the first place I went. =X
