      1st WILD Attempt

I tried my 1st WILD attempt last night.
The 1st time I closed my eyes and did not move.
I wanted to move cause I felt my head was stopping the blood in my arms but didnt. I started to see swirling patterns with my eyes clsed and the patterns looked like my room. I thought my eyes were open so I tightened them. My eyes kept opening slightly, so I kept them shut as hard as I could. My body felt very weird then. Almost as if I was inside my head. Then I moved. I coulnt take it, my hands were numb.

I tried again but had to move.

      Anyone else have similar effects?

Awww man seems like you almost get there. I have been trying many times and never got the HI like you did. Tell me how did you keep yourself concious? Did you count your breath or something, I tried to visualize but that's too hard.

I just kept thinking "I am consious. Keep focus. Don't move."
Seriously. That's all I did and became very close.

I had my first proper WILD the other night... it was pretty amazing actually. I didn't have to even think about trying it, I just slipped into it so fast because my body was already very tired (it was about 3-4am that I went to sleep) - almost automatically I started to lose all feeling from my arms and the rest of my body. I knew what was about to happen so I kept still! The transition felt amazing and for the first time I didn't feel scared before entering a LD. I started to see images in my mind, becoming more and more vivid and within seconds I was in the LD with almost full control. I can't remember what happened too much but I did fly around quite a lot, which was awesome because I could feel the wind.
I don't read these forums too often, so I wouldn't know if feeling everything as if it was real, is normal in an LD.
...anyway I think at one point I was 'changing scene' or something and the transition caused a vibration all over my body... I think I was going through the ground at that point.

Huh. Whats kinda funny is that the very first time I tried a WILD, the same thing happened to me. The second time...well, my mom kinda walked in and woke me up >

I don't know, I hear that you're not supposed to, but I can feel pain, taste food, feel the effects of poison, wind, ect. when I dream.

That's cool then. I pretty much feel everything in the LD, but maybe only once or twice in a normal dream. And it's so real too, which is kind of weird.
One time, I was sitting on my window sill with the window wide open, thinking about what would happen if I just jumped out (this was in the LD, not just me wanting to hurt myself...) And even though I knew I was dreaming / could feel my body lying in bed at the same time, I was too scared to jump because everything else felt so real

Ugh. This is tough. I stayed still for a while thinking I had no body and when I had an itch I would ignor it to my fullest. I experienced somthing weird. The patterns I see with my eyes closed is making out my room. I thought my eyes were open but then I realized they werent. When I actually did open my eyes my head was facing a different direction from the direction of my room I saw in my visions. At the end, I had to move, but it was very hard to.

Could these visions have been an OBE vision?

that sounds like you were at the very last of the transition!

i've done that several times, what was happening is similiar to false awakening. you thought that you had failed (eyes opened already) but were seeing through your minds eye and almost there!

It is not an OBE, it is your brain/subconscious dreaming of your bedroom. I have done this many times and each time I was awed of the details my mind could put forth. If I may give you a small advice, when doing WILD and you are at this point that you are very nearly entering a LD, try imagining movement of yourself (like spinning around or so), for me this greatly helps going through the transition.
